Practically Perfect

I'm practically perfect in every way
Practically perfect? So people say
Each virtue virtually knows no bound
Each trait is great and patently sound

I'm practically perfect from head to toe
If I had a fault it would never dare to show
I'm so practically perfect in every way

Both prim and proper and never too stern
Well-educated and willing to learn
I'm clean and honest my manner refined
And I wear shoes of the sensible kind

I suffer no nonsense and whilst I remain
There's nothing else I feel I need explain

I'm practically perfect in every way
Practically perfect that's my forte
Uncanny nannies are hard to find
Unique yet meek unspeakably kind
I'm practically perfect not slightly soiled
Running like an engine that's just been freshly oiled
I'm so practically perfect in every way

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Writer: Robert B. Sherman
Lyrics: Robert B. Sherman

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

Because I was afraid to speak
When I was just a lad
My father gave me nose a tweak
And told me I was bad
But then one day I learned a word
That saved me aching nose
The biggest word I ever heard
And this is how it goes:

Oh, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

So when the cat has got your tongue
There's no need for dismay
Just summon up this word
And then you've got a lot to say
But better use it carefully
Or it may change your life
One night I said it to me girl
And now me girl's my wife!
She's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Cookies that are better tasting than Famous Amos Cookies!

I just bought two boxes of this delicious but sinful cookie. It's really really really very good especially if you like nuts and chunks of chocolate in your cookies. And it's going on a offer now at Sainsbury's for 1.50 pounds for 2 boxes (original price of 99p per box). Come to me and I will let you have some of my cookies. While stock lasts! Hehe.

Birthday

365 days. 6 billion people. Why should that one day of the year be special to you when approximately 16 million people share the same birthday as you?

"Happy birthday". Who said that birthday should be a happy affair? Throwing a party, entertaining people, receiving well wishes and presents from people who don't really care or even really know about you. Creating social obligation for you and for others.

Only if my birthday could give me as if magical powers, courage, the courage to express, the courage to care more about the people around me and the courage to forgive.

To friends and dear ones around me, your daily acts of kindness and consideration warms my heart. And, that's all I need.

Cambridge in a day!

Took a one-hour-and-forty-five-minute coach ride to Cambridge yesterday morning. While Guangfan, Yaohao, Cheukka and Peixuan toured the place with their Cambridge friends, insane as we were, Jeremy, Jiayi, Ninghhan and I arranged to jog around Cambridge with Kezheng before joining them for lunch.

Weather was perfect for jogging yesterday. The warm sunshine complemented the strong winds blowing into our faces as we enjoyed a rainbow view from Castle hill. It was a pity that no one brought a camera along for the jog though. The photos below were taken after we met up with the rest of them. Enjoy the photos!

Going Cambridge this Saturday!

Can't wait to smell Cambridge air and meet my Cambridge friends this Saturday. I must be experiencing pre-mature excitement and anticipation for this Saturday's Cambridge trip. Hope to get the chance of eating Cambridge University's formal dinner there too.

I am just simply too excited. Two more days to go!

初恋

Wheeee..... Was paid 7.25 pounds today for taking part in a paid online decision-making experiment which lasted for less than an hour. Good money right? Hehe. Only if such money-making opportunities knock on my door every day.

Dinner was unusually sumptuous tonight! Five dishes for four people. We had stir-fried french beans with capsicum, carrots and mushrooms; Japanese-styled teriyaki chicken; fried tomatato in egg; herbal lotus root soup and deep-fried lotus root with minced mushroom paste, a dish which Guangfan named as "初恋". Haha. The dinner we had tonight kind of reminded me of the dinners Mummy cooked at home. Variety, quantity and a soup. It was always as if she was cooking for a wedding banquet at home. Didn't have this kind of feeling at home sensation for a long time until tonight. Only if I have less homework to do, less reports to write and more time to cook...

Beautiful weather, wonderful friends

Wonderful friends can make the most bitter winter seem bearable.

Cold cold weather

Frozen toes and fingers. Hate this feeling.

Wandering mind

Dreamt of snow clouding my vision last night. Everything was so white, so calm, so peaceful. Though I was aware of many other things happening in my dream, that was the only thing I remembered when I woke up.

I didn't feel like my normal usual self today. Probably woke up from the wrong side of bed this morning. Just felt weird, just weird. Simply can't keep my mind focused throughout the day.

Weather was grey and ugly. Definitely not one of the days I would just look up into the sky and give myself a satisfied smile.

I visualised that I could see with my eyes closed during a lecture just now. Everything seemed tangible and real in front of me. Or maybe I was just too tired.

Still can't get over the fact that it's a Monday and I am no longer touring in Oxford. Really enjoyed myself during the Oxford trip in the company of my friends. Couldn't get out of my mind something disturbing that I saw (or thought I saw and thought it was) though.

It was as if a million and one thoughts swam past my mind today.
Argh... Monday blues.

What Your Face Says

At first glance, people see you as warm and well-balanced.

Overall, your true self is passionate and physical.

With friends, you seem dramatic, lively, and quick to react.

In love, you seem mysterious and interesting.

In stressful situations, you seem selfish and moody.
